Coffee grows wild in Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia. Before the 10th century, it was eaten as it was found by the nomad tribes of those areas, who had discovered its alluring stimulant properties.

Coffee is a shrub belonging to the genus Coffea and the family Rubiacee: this is its botanic identity card. Its looks like small evergreen tree which in nature reaches a height of 6 - 8 meters.
